The USC Flow Cytometry Facility is a BSL2 laboratory located in BCC 205 at the Eli and Edythe Broad CIRM Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at USC. Users and visitors of the core are asked to adhere to published USC-EHS guidelines for work practices and donning of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) whenever in the laboratory. Appropriate PPE for the core include eye protection, gloves and a front closure lab coat (BSL2) or wrap-around rear closure lab coat (BSL2+). Access restrictions to the Cell Sorting Bay will be enforced whenever cell sorting is underway; only authorized personnel may occupy the bay during these times and must observe BSL2+ work practices and PPE. Please observe posted warnings and reroute your traffic patterns as necessary.

Principal investigators must file a completed Annual Biosafety Questionnaire each year or whenever their biosafety protocols have changed. Download, complete and resubmit the form to the core director before beginning services with the core. Additionally, experimenters are asked to submit a daily cell sorting form for each appointment. Work will not begin without a completed and accepted form, and this form may be submitted within one week of appointment time.

Biosafety cabinet and incubator use is available to users of the core. Please note the location and rules for that equipment stated in the document.
